The magic of winter holidays brings with it a special light, especially in the eyes of children who are eagerly awaiting Christmas presents. This year, our association has enveloped the hearts of the children of Breaza in the warmth of the holidays with an initiative full of love and generosity: the “Dear Santa Claus…” campaign.
In the month of generosity, we wanted the unwritten letters of children who dared not dream to become reality. We had one goal: to bring 100 gifts to those students who were facing great difficulties and for whom the smell of cupcakes, the sparkle of garlands or the glimmer of coloured bulbs seemed like a distant dream.
With open hearts and joined hands, we set off. 43 gifts, laden with the promise of sparkling smiles, were the first to be sent. But 57 more wishes were waiting to be granted and we turned to our community, looking for Santa’s helpers. And the community responded with overwhelming generosity.
Over the last few weeks of the campaign, as spirits rose with the snowflakes, we raised funds and materials to make sure every child had the joy of Christmas. In the end, 67 parcels full of hope and cheer were delivered.
On 20 and 21 December, with bags full of gifts, food and new clothes, we arrived at Breaza de Jos School, Aurel Vlaicu High School, Capul Câmpului School and Nistorești School.
This campaign would not have been possible without the big hearts of our donors and the constant support of those who believe in our mission. Through “Dear Santa…”, we not only handed out gifts, but we wove hope and drew smiles on faces that might otherwise have remained less than bright during this season.
Thank you to every donor for choosing to be part of this heartwarming journey and for helping to create an unforgettable Christmas for the children of Breaza. Each gesture of generosity was an invaluable gift that helped make the end of the year full of love and joy.
